How do I create an ad to buy cryptocurrency
The ability to create Buy or Sell ads is available to users with the Merchant status on the P2P Market. Learn more about the Merchant status and the process of getting it in this article.
- Go to P2P Market → Create Ad.
- Select Buy in the “I want to” field.
- Specify the terms of cryptocurrency purchase, such as: fiat currency, price type, percentage of floating price / fixed price, amount, order limits, and payment timeout.
Floating price changes with the market and is updated regularly. Typically you can specify a price margin within 70-150% of the market price. That said, the floating price range is individual for each currency; you can check the applied range on the ad creation screen.
Fixed price doesn't change despite the market fluctuations and remains the same as you specified in the ad. Typically you can specify a price margin within 70-150% of the market price. That said, the fixed price range is individual for each currency; you can check the applied range on the ad creation screen.
Min limits for selling crypto assets are typically 3 GRAM (prev. TON), 0.00005 BTC, 5 USDT, 10,000 NOT, 0.0025 ETH. Limits may differ for each currency; you can check the applied limits on the ad creation screen.
Max limits for selling crypto assets are 15,000 GRAM (prev. TON), 0.25 BTC, 10,000 USDT, 50,000,000 NOT, 10 ETH.
Min and max amount of order - here you can specify both minimum and maximum sum of order (in fiat) for future new orders. The max amount field is optional, and there are no restrictions on it, so any number greater than the minimum limit can be entered. If left empty, the maximum limit will be derived from the offer automatically. As for the min limit, you will be able to see it on the ad creation screen.
Payment timeout is the period of time specified by the buyer, during which he must send to the seller's account the amount specified in the ad.
- Select payment methods from the available list and specify details. You can add max 5 payment methods for one ad.
- You can add a comment to the order if needed.
- Check the details and confirm the ad creation.
When the seller responds to the ad, you will be notified that an order has been created. You can accept or reject it - you have just 5 minutes to take action. If you do not accept the order within 5 minutes, the order will get cancelled automatically. To accept orders automatically, without having to worry about possible order cancellations, you can toggle on 'Auto-Accept Orders' for your ad.
The terms specified in the ad cannot be changed during the order.
How to check that you're sending funds to the seller
Once the seller accepts the order, you'll see their name (first name and the first letter of their last name) in the "Transfer" field, along with the payment details. Before making the payment, compare the seller's name with the name of the payment recipient in your bank or payment service. The names must match.
If the names don't match, do not send the payment. Cancel the order by tapping I have a problem → Names Don't Match, I Haven't Paid.
