What is Enhanced Due Diligence
Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) is an additional step we take when we need more details about an account or a transaction. For example, where the funds came from or where you're sending them. It helps protect your funds and keep other users safe. We may ask you to complete an EDD review at any stage of using Crypto Wallet — this is standard practice for custodial services and exchanges.
How the EDD review works
- You receive a message in the chat with Wallet (@wallet).
- You follow the link and fill out the form.
- You upload a document that confirms what you entered in the form.
- We review everything — this usually takes up to 12 hours.
Once the review is complete, we'll send you a message with the results in the @wallet chat.
Note about the review:
- While the review is in progress, some Crypto Wallet features may be temporarily limited.
- In some cases, we may request additional documents during the review — if that's your case, we'll let you know in the @wallet chat.
What are general document requirements
Each request has its own requirements, but some rules apply to all documents:
- One suitable document is normally enough for the review. If it's missing some details, you can add others — up to 5 documents total.
- The document must be authentic, unedited, and uncropped. You may hide other people's personal data — for example, by blurring it out in a photo editor.
- Screenshots of Crypto Wallet itself and of blockchain explorers are not accepted.
- Self-made lists or tables, such as Excel spreadsheets, are not accepted.
Which documents are suitable for each request:
Where the funds came from
We ask you to show where the funds in a specific transaction came from. For example, which exchange, wallet, or person they came from.
What document is suitable
A document (screenshot, video, or screen recording) showing where the funds came from. It must include:
- Who the sender is: you, another person, a service, etc;
- The sender's wallet address, matching the address in Crypto Wallet;
- The transaction amount and date, matching the transaction amount and date in Crypto Wallet.
For example:
- A screenshot of correspondence with the sender, where the wallet address was mentioned.
- A screen recording of an exchange account and the address used for withdrawal.
- A service agreement for which you received the cryptocurrency.
One suitable document is normally enough for the review. If it's missing some details, you can add others — up to 5 documents total.
We don't accept:
- Screenshots from Crypto Wallet. For example, a screenshot showing your deposit address.
- Screenshots from blockchain explorers (e.g., Tonviewer, Tronscan);
- Screenshots that don't show the date, purpose of the transfer, or the sender's address — for example, a screenshot of an exchange account showing only your nickname;
- Edited or cropped documents — for example, a screenshot where the sender's address has been blurred out in a photo editor.
You can find the detailed document list and requirements here.
How can I confirm a transfer from another person if I don't want to share my chat history
You can upload a screenshot of your correspondence and hide other people's personal data — for example, by blurring it in a photo editor. The rest of the information must remain unedited and accurate: the amounts, addresses, and transaction details must be visible and must match the transaction in Crypto Wallet. The purpose of the transfer should also be clear from the correspondence.
If you still don't want to share personal correspondence, even with the other person's personal data hidden, choose any other suitable document from the list.
What to do if the transaction was agreed verbally
We understand that not all arrangements are made in writing. A verbal agreement alone isn't proof by itself, but any document that shows the origin of the funds and links them to you will work — the more details, the better. The list includes the most common examples, but we're open to considering other forms of confirmation.
As soon as you have a suitable document, contact our support team, and we'll continue the review.
What to do if a document was rejected
If a document isn't accepted, we'll explain why in the @wallet chat and send you a link to upload a new one. Check the reason — usually, the document doesn't fully show where the funds came from. Before re-uploading a document, check that:
- The document confirms the transfer specifically from the source you specified in the form (exchange, service, or non-custodial wallet).
- The sender's address, amount, cryptocurrency, and transaction date are visible on the document — and they match the transaction details in Crypto Wallet.
- The document is authentic — it hasn't been edited or cropped.
If the rejection reason is unclear, or you're sure the document meets all the requirements, contact our support team. We'll help you sort it out.
Confirmation of funds from a gambling platform
We ask you to show that the funds in a specific transaction came from a gambling platform.
What document is suitable
A document (screenshot, video, or screen recording) showing that the funds came from a gambling platform. It must include:
- The name or URL of the gambling platform;
- The sender's wallet address, matching the address in Crypto Wallet;
- The amount of winnings and withdrawal date, matching the transaction in Crypto Wallet.
For example:
- A statement from the gambling platform showing wins and losses.
- A screen recording of your account on the gambling platform.
One suitable document is normally enough for the review. If it's missing some details, you can add others — up to 5 documents total.
We don't accept:
- Screenshots from Crypto Wallet. For example, a screenshot showing your deposit address.
- Screenshots from blockchain explorers (e.g., Tonviewer, Tronscan).
- Screenshots that don't show the date, winnings amount, or sender's address — for example, a screenshot of a platform account showing only your nickname.
- Edited or cropped documents — for example, a screenshot where the gambling platform's name has been blurred out in a photo editor.
What to do if a document was rejected
If a document isn't accepted, we'll explain why in the @wallet chat and send you a link to upload a new one. Check the reason — usually, the document doesn't fully show that the funds came from a gambling platform. Before re-uploading a document, check that:
- The document confirms the transfer specifically from the gambling platform you specified in the form.
- The sender's address, amount of winnings, and transaction date are visible on the document — and they match the transaction details in Crypto Wallet.
- The document is authentic — it hasn't been edited or cropped.
If the rejection reason is unclear, or you're sure the document meets all the requirements, contact our support team. We'll help you sort it out.
Where the funds were sent
We ask you to show where and why you sent the funds in a specific transaction. For example, which exchange, wallet, or person you sent them to.
What document is suitable
A document (screenshot, video, or screen recording) showing where the funds went. It must include:
- Who the recipient is: you, another person, a service, etc;
- The recipient's wallet address, matching the transaction from Crypto Wallet;
- The amount, date, and purpose of the transfer.
For example:
- A screen recording showing your account on the receiving exchange and the address used.
- A screenshot from inside the recipient wallet's app, showing the address.
- A service agreement for which you sent cryptocurrency as payment.
One suitable document is normally enough for the review. If it's missing some details, you can add others — up to 5 documents total.
We don't accept:
- Screenshots from Crypto Wallet.
- Screenshots from blockchain explorers (e.g., Tonviewer, Tronscan).
- Screenshots that don't show the date, purpose of the transfer, or the recipient's address — for example, a screenshot of an exchange account showing only your nickname.
- Edited or cropped documents — for example, a screenshot where the recipient's address has been blurred out in a photo editor.

How can I confirm the receiving address if it changes with every transaction
Contact the support team of the receiving exchange or service and ask them to confirm the receiving address. Then record one continuous video or screen recording for us (up to 50 MB) with no editing, showing:
- First, your correspondence with Crypto Wallet support.
- Then, logging into the platform or service with your external wallet — be sure to hide passwords and seed phrases, for example by blurring them out in a video editor.
- Your correspondence with the receiving service's support team, where they confirm the receiving address for the transaction.
Send this video to our support team — we'll review it and let you know the next steps.

Confirmation of payment for goods or services
We ask you to show which service or store you sent the funds to and what you paid for in a specific transaction.

A document (screenshot, video, or screen recording) showing which service or store the funds went to. It must include:
- The name or URL of the service or store;
- The name of the service or product;
- The recipient's wallet address, matching the transaction in Crypto Wallet;
- The payment amount and date, matching the transaction from Crypto Wallet.
For example:
- A screenshot or video of the order confirmation page on the service.
- A screenshot or video of your purchase or subscription history on the service.
- A screenshot or video of a payment confirmation email.
- A screenshot or video from the store's Telegram bot with order details.
- A receipt or invoice showing the service name, amount, and date.
One suitable document is normally enough for the review. If it's missing some details, you can add others — up to 5 documents total.
We don't accept:
- Screenshots from Crypto Wallet.
- Screenshots from blockchain explorers (e.g., Tonviewer, Tronscan).
- Screenshots that don't show the date, payment amount, or the receiving service's address — for example, an online store page showing only your profile.
- Edited or cropped documents — for example, a screenshot where the purchase details have been blurred out in a photo editor.
What to do if a document was rejected
If a document isn't accepted, we'll explain why in the @wallet chat and send you a link to upload a new one. Check the reason — usually, the document doesn't fully show which service the funds were sent to and what for. Before re-uploading a document, check that:
- The document confirms the transfer specifically to the service you specified in the form.

If the rejection reason is unclear, or you're sure the document meets all the requirements, contact our support team. We'll help you sort it out.
Income confirmation
We ask you to show, in general, where your income comes from.
What document is suitable
A document showing your source of income and confirming that it's consistent with your activity in Crypto Wallet. It must include:
- Your full name;
- Source of income: employment, services rendered, or other lawful activity;
- Issue date;
- A signature, stamp, logo (e.g., of an exchange or bank), or other official confirmation;
- Amounts received that are proportional to the amount of your monthly transactions.
For example:
- A bank statement for the last 3 months showing income or savings.
- A salary or income certificate.
- A tax document.
One suitable document is normally enough for the review. If it's missing some details, you can add others — up to 5 documents total.
We don't accept:
- Documents without your full name — for example, a banking-app screenshot showing only amounts.
- Bank statements that show only the account balance, without incoming amounts or breakdowns.
- Bank statements where the incoming funds aren't income — for example, an ATM deposit or a transfer from a friend.
- Documents issued more than 3 months ago — for example, old payslips or a property sale agreement drawn up long ago.
- Edited or cropped documents — for example, a bank statement where your name has been blurred out in a photo editor.
- Screenshots from Crypto Wallet.
- Self-made lists — for example, an Excel spreadsheet.
You can find the detailed document list and requirements here.
What can I provide if I'm not officially employed
We understand that income isn't always confirmed by an employment contract. Depending on your situation, we accept different forms of confirmation. If you don't have an employment contract or payslip, choose any other suitable document from the list.
What to do if a document was rejected
If a document isn't accepted, we'll explain why in the @wallet chat and send you a link to upload a new one. Check the reason — usually, the document doesn't fully show where the income came from. Before re-uploading a document, check that:
- The document confirms the exact source of income you specified in the form.
- The document clearly indicates ownership of the property or account, or your involvement in the income-generating activity.
- The document shows amounts and incoming funds for at least the last 3 months.
- The document is authentic — it hasn't been edited or cropped.
If the rejection reason is unclear, or you're sure the document meets all the requirements, contact our support team. We'll help you sort it out.
Form to сonfirm media status
The Form to сonfirm media status helps us understand whether you are a Politically Exposed Person (PEP) or a subject of international sanctions, and whether you have a history of legal offences. In accordance with the User Agreement, Crypto Wallet does not provide services to Politically Exposed Persons and may decline service where necessary for the security of the service.
What information is taken into account to determine media status
To determine your media status, we consider:
- Whether you have PEP status;
- Whether you are a subject of international sanctions;
- Information about criminal offences;
- Information about administrative offences.
Answer a few questions about this, and we'll assess your status.
Who is a Politically Exposed Person
A Politically Exposed Person (PEP) is someone who holds, or has held, an important public or political office. This also includes their close relatives — spouses, children, parents, brothers and sisters — and people with close business ties to them, such as partners in a joint company or trust. This status remains in effect for 36 months after leaving office.
Examples of Politically Exposed Persons:
- Heads of state, prime ministers, ministers, and their deputies;
- Members of Parliament, senators;
- Judges;
- Military and police officers;
- Heads of banks and state-owned companies;
- Diplomats and heads of international organizations.
Proof of residential address
Proof of residential address is information about where your main life and activities are based, and which country you pay taxes in. It helps us confirm your region of residence and determine which Crypto Wallet features are available there. You can find the full list of countries and territories where Crypto Wallet is unavailable here.
What documents are suitable
You need to upload two documents:
- A document confirming your place of residence — choose one:
- A utility bill — electricity, gas, water, or home internet;
- A property ownership document;
- A tenancy agreement;
- A residence permit valid for 1 year or more;
- A mortgage agreement.
- A bank statement for the last 3 months for the main account you use for everyday expenses.
What to do if the documents were rejected
If a document isn't accepted, we'll explain why in the @wallet chat and send you a link to upload a new one. Check the reason — usually, the document doesn't fully confirm your address of residence. Before re-uploading a document, check that:
- The proof-of-residence document shows your full name and address, and is no older than 3 months.
- The bank statement shows your main income and expenses for the last 3 months.
- The documents are authentic — they haven't been edited or cropped.
If the rejection reason is unclear, or you're sure the documents meet all the requirements, contact our support team. We'll help you sort it out.
Video confirmation of your account
Video confirmation helps us make sure that you are the one using the account.
How to record a video confirmation
When recording your video, make sure:
- Your face is clearly visible on camera.
- You say the text from the form you received clearly and distinctly. The text must be spoken in English or Russian, depending on what we requested in the form.
- The video confirmation is recorded as one continuous take, with no editing or cuts.
What to do if the video confirmation was rejected
Your video confirmation was most likely rejected because it didn't meet the required criteria. Double-check that:
- The video is recorded in one take, with no editing or cuts.
- Your face is clearly visible, and the text from the form is spoken clearly and distinctly.
If your video meets all the requirements but still wasn't accepted, contact our support team. We'll review it and let you know the next steps.
What to do if I can't provide the required information
First, check the full list of documents — one of the options may fit your specific situation.
If you can't provide the information right now, you can always come back to the review later — we'll be ready to continue it. As soon as you have the necessary information, contact our support team, and we'll let you know the next steps.
Until we receive the requested information, some Crypto Wallet features may remain limited.
Is my data protected
Yes, all the information you provide is securely protected and used only for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy. To protect your data, we use encryption, firewalls, and physical and digital access controls at our data centers.
How can I check the review results
After submitting the documents, you will be taken to the review screen. You can close it if you wish — once the review is complete, we will send you a message in the @wallet chat with the results.
