How can I sell cryptocurrency
You can sell cryptocurrency in the following ways:
- Via the Trade section, exchanging it for another token.
- On the P2P Market, where you can choose the most convenient payment method.
- Via third-party payment providers, with funds credited to your bank card (available in the main screen of Crypto Wallet).
You can read more below about how to sell cryptocurrency via a payment provider.
How to sell cryptocurrency via a payment provider
To sell cryptocurrency via a third-party payment provider:
- In the main menu of Crypto Wallet, tap ‘Withdraw’ > ‘Bank Card’.
- Select the cryptocurrency and enter the amount you want to sell.
- Choose the fiat currency (USD or EUR) you want to receive for the token.
- Tap ‘Sell’ — you’ll be redirected to the payment provider’s page, where you can review their Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
- Enter your email address on the provider’s page and confirm it with the code sent to your inbox.
- If necessary, complete identity verification with the payment provider.
- Enter the number of your bank card where you’d like to receive funds.
Important: the payment method must comply with the third-party provider’s Terms of Use, and the card for receiving funds must be registered in your name.
- To sell cryptocurrency, you need to send it to a third-party provider — to do this, confirm the token transfer in the Crypto Wallet interface.
Note:
- When sending tokens to the provider, a withdrawal fee is charged, as the transaction is processed on the blockchain.
- If you left the provider’s page before completing the sale, you will receive an email with the address for sending the tokens. You can transfer the cryptocurrency to this address to finalize the sale. If you do not plan to complete the transaction or have already started a new sale process in the Crypto Wallet, simply ignore this email.
Once the transaction is confirmed, funds will be credited to your bank card within a few minutes. In some cases, depending on your bank, processing may take up to 3 days.
А fee is charged by the payment provider for selling cryptocurrency. Your bank may also apply foreign exchange fees.
What payment methods can I use to receive funds
You can use Visa and Mastercard bank cards to receive funds from selling cryptocurrency.
Note: payments can only be made to cards issued by banks within the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland.
The payment provider supports the following fiat currencies: USD and EUR. If your card is linked to another currency, the following may occur:
- The sale may fail, and the cryptocurrency will be returned to you.
- The sale will be successful, and the bank will convert the funds from USD/EUR to your card’s native currency at the bank’s own exchange rate. The bank may also charge additional conversion fees.
Is selling via a payment provider restricted for certain regions
Note: at the moment, selling via the payment provider is only available to users from the European Economic Area and Switzerland.
In accordance with the User Agreement, Crypto Wallet reserves the right to select markets and jurisdictions where the service operates. You can find the list of countries where Crypto Wallet is not available here. The service may limit or deny access to certain services or their parts in specific countries, regions, or territories if this poses a risk to the project or is required by applicable laws, competent authorities, or sanctions.
Additionally, the third-party partner that provides the sale service in Crypto Wallet has its own terms and conditions, which may include country or regional restrictions. Depending on these, selling crypto to a card may not be available in your location. See the list of countries where selling cryptocurrency to a bank card is available here.
If selling through the provider is not available, you can consider selling cryptocurrency to other Crypto Wallet users on the P2P Market.
Why am I asked to pass verification on the provider’s page
The payment gateways that facilitate cryptocurrency sales have their own requirements for payments. Verification is one such requirement. To complete it, you need to furnish the documents requested by the partner and follow the instructions on the screen. It takes no more than 5 minutes to pass verification.
Note: you may be required to verify twice — both inside Crypto Wallet and again in the interface of the provider.
If you face any difficulties passing the verification, you can contact the support team of the payment gateway directly:
Email address: support@mercuryo.io
Support chat: Available on their website.
Alternatively, you can contact our support team. Our team will take a look to see what may have occurred and, if necessary, will contact the provider for possible solutions.
I sent cryptocurrency, but the funds haven’t arrived on my bank card
The transaction may not have been successfully completed on your bank’s side. In this case, the cryptocurrency will be returned to your address in Crypto Wallet. This usually takes 5–10 minutes, but in some cases the return may take up to 2 hours.
If the cryptocurrency has not been returned, please contact the payment provider’s support team:
Email address: support@mercuryo.io
Support chat: Available on their website.
You can also always reach out to our support team — we will review your case and, if necessary, contact the provider for a possible resolution.
